The N-25 passive alternator noise filter was designed to
eliminate in-line noise in auto sound systems. Applications
include AM/FM cassette decks, compact disc players,
equalizers and amplifiers, cellular phones, CB radios, etc.
This super filter uses a specially wound toroid filter for
minimal losses and maximum effectiveness.

The N-IP12A2 Isolated Power Supply is a great product for
noisy MP3 players -- including iPods. Only four wires
needed. You feed it +12 Volts and chassis ground, and the
N-IP12A2 supplies a super clean +12 Volts and ground for
your accessories. The ultimate "noise filter."
The N-IP12A2 Isolated Power Supply supplies a regulated
13.8 Volts DC at 2 Amps from an input voltage of 9 to 16
Volts DC. The main feature of the N-IP12A2 is that output
voltage is NOT connected to the input voltage. This means
that as long as the load does not touch the car’s
chassis, the N-IP12A2 will supply a new ground reference
that is clean, regulated, and free of the car’s
accessory noise.
Uses for the N-IP12A2 include powering non-powered
processors such as equalizers, electronics crossovers,
DSPs, etc. There is a 3-Amp fuse on the + Input Lead.
The best test to see if a system would benefit from an
isolated power supply is to temporarily power the
component with a small 12 Volt DC motorcycle battery. If
the noise goes away and the component performance improves
with the motorcycle battery, then the isolated supply
should be considered. An isolated power supply is not an
in-line filter. The supply actually generates its own
energy and when installed correctly, acts like a small
motorcycle battery that never needs to be charged.
